Version 1.45 The Spooky Release
Incremental Releases:

Ahh, I got so excited about spooky season that I forgot (again!) that October's release happens in November. So... it's a spooky release after spooky season, but it's still pretty great!

The government shutdown has been... "fun". When I wrote about it last release I didn't expect it to last long enough to get mentioned in another change log! My day job is my primary source of income, after all, which means that I can use your financial support to pay all the other team members working on the game. The shutdown is a bit stressful, but we're doing okay. AW is still full-speed ahead.

Speaking of full-speed ahead, with this release we officially passed the 4 million word mark! That's a lot of words. A lot of code, too - over 200 thousand lines of TypeScript now. It's wild to think about how much content there is in this game now compared to the beginning. I don't think there are very many adult games out there with so much to explore, and we're really proud of it.

We've got two wordsmiths, a crazy cat, an artist type, a mysterious entity, and yours truly all churning out content for you lovely people. It's awesome, and I think this release is pretty awesome as a result, too. The showcase item for this release is a big Temple of the Outer Gods storyline for a dose of eldritch spookiness including eggs, pregnancy, and dark boons.

We've also got more hucow stuff too, and also a big expansion of the evening activities system content. We've actually been working already on hucow content for the next release, which is pretty cool. Part of the process of splitting writing from implementation. You can look forward to more fun with Abigail and the Cow Crowd next month (and pleny more, of course).

I'm really thankful for all of your support. Life isn't always easy, but it means so much to have all of you supporting us and AW.
